WHS Sophomore Class Chicken Fundraiser

The Wawasee High School sophomores will have their Annual Nelson’s Golden Glow Chicken Fundraiser on Saturday, April 22nd.

Pickup will be held in the parking lot of Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse from 10 am to 2pm.

Celebrate Earth Day at the WACF Earth Day Festival. Come discover all the fun and exciting things you can do outdoors. There will be demonstrations of wake boarding, muzzle loading and flint napping. Try your hand at archery or learn to fish. Learn how to tie flies from experienced fishermen and watch experts make duck & goose calls and nesting boxes. You can help plant a tree or make a seed ball to take home & plant. Find out how the wetlands protect our watershed and what you can do in your lawn and garden to keep our water clean and healthy.  It's ALL FREE at the WACF Earth Day Festival, 11 AM - 3 PM, Saturday, April 22.  Rain or shine!  See you there!

Tails and Trails Community Dog Walk

Syracuse Community Center has invited you to come and join the fun! Saturday April 29th there will be a community dog walk at 3PM until 5PM for you and man’s best friend.  You will be walking your dog around Syracuse-Wawasee Trail.  There you get to see the beauty of your home town.  There is no doubt that you and your dog’s body will be ready for summer after this! Come and join us on our Tails and Trails Community Dog Walk! We’ll be waiting!   

Syracuse Community Cleanup Days

Earth Day is Saturday, April 22nd.  The town of Syracuse is asking businesses and residents to come together and clean our town and trails the weekend of April 21st through the 23rd.  If you want to help, contact the Syracuse/Wawasee Chamber of Commerce or Trail committee for information.  Let’s cleanup Syracuse!

SCC Princess Tea Party

Princess Belle invites you to a tea party scheduled for Saturday, April 22nd from 10am to 12pm at the Syracuse Community Center! This party, with a real Princess, will include refreshments, crafts, singing, dancing, princess training, story time and photo opportunities. Princess or fancy attire is recommended! Don’t forget to bring a camera! A maximum of two adults may accompany each child. To register, stop by the Syracuse Community Center. Space is limited and registration will not be accepted over the phone. 

North Webster Community Center Easter Celebration

The North Webster Community Center invites you for an Easter celebration full of fun on Saturday, April 15th. Participate in the Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt at the Webster Ball fields at 9AM. Enjoy a breakfast, put on by the Lakeland Kiwanis Club, at 8:30AM in the North Webster Community Center Banquet Hall. And get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny in the North Webster Community Center gym at 9:30AM. For more information, contact the North Webster Community Center.

MPL Spring Story Time

Spring Story Time, for children ages 3 to 6 years old, will be hosted by the Milford Public Library on Wednesdays at 10:15 AM and 1:30 PM, and on Thursdays at 7 PM. Spring Story Time will last throughout the month of April. Register in advance by calling 574-658-4312.

MPL Lapsit

Lapsit, a storytelling experience for children under three years old, at the Milford Public Library, is every Tuesday during April. Sessions are at 11 AM and 3:30 PM. This activity introduces children to literature through stories and songs. Sign up at the children’s desk or call 574-658-4312.

Middle School Summer Soccer Camp

The Wawasee Middle School Summer Soccer Camp is a two week summer camp​designed to prepare your kids to succeed in high school soccer.  Students will learn fundamentals, drills, and fitness. Middle School Summer Soccer Camp is Monday June 5th​through Thursday June 15th at Wawasee High School. The registration deadline is May 25th. LYC Summer Luau Fundraiser

Celebrate summer at the lakes Memorial Day weekend at a Summer Lakefront Luau! On Saturday, May 27th at 6pm, be welcomed with a luau beverage, and atmosphere overlooking a lake at the beautiful Blue Barn Berry Farm & Event Venue on County Road 300 by Dewart Lake. Luau themed food will be provided by the mouth-watering ALL FIRED UP BBQ and cocktails served up by The Sleepy Owl Supper Club. Gretchen's Revenge, the popular pop-inspired cover band, will be strumming up the tunes to kick this summer off with a bang!  Space is limited, please purchase your tickets now.
