The Friends of the Syracuse Public Library are assisting children with a project to give blankets to some animals in shelters this winter. The Friends purchased the fleece, cut the pieces and are prepared to help children tie the edges together on Thursday, November 30th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The blankets are going to the abundance of cats staying at New Hope Pet Rescue and larger animals at Dr. Brungardt’s animal clinic. Anyone that wants to help make the blankets is encouraged to drop in. This is an opportunity to learn and practice the no-sew way to make a cozy, colorful blanket.
