Milford School is unique in that it is the only K-8 building within the Wawasee Community School Corporation. The school is located within the town limits of Milford, Indiana. Milford has a population of 1,200 and is situated 12 miles north of Warsaw and 12 miles south of Goshen. The area is largely agricultural, but is home to several manufacturing companies, including Brock - Chore-Time and Maple Leaf-Serenade Foods. The Milford School facility is one building composed of an elementary section (Grades K-4), an intermediate team (Grades 5 & 6) and a middle school section (Grades 7 & 8). The cafeteria serves breakfast and lunches daily and provides an a la carte line for Grades 5-8 students. The library, gymnasium, and cafeteria are shared areas located in the middle school section. The elementary and middle school each have a computer lab. The elementary, intermediate and middle schools are administered through a single administrative office area. Milford School has a student population of 326 in Grades K-4, 132 in Grades 5 & 6, and 145 in Grades 7 & 8 with a basically stable enrollment. An nurse is available daily from 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. to provide health care services. A full time guidance counselor is employed and works closely with students in grades K-8 in classroom settings, small groups and individually. Parents and community members are encouraged to become involved through the Milford PTO which coordinates our strong volunteer program.
