After taking a break in August, the children’s department is ready to offer many reasons to come to the Syracuse Public Library. Story times have the themes farm animals and school days. A date will be announced to visit a dairy farm to pet and feed the animals. Drop in for programs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. through November. Happy Feet is returning with more times to dance and groove to music. Happy feet is meeting on alternate Wednesdays starting September 14th at 10:30 a.m. and is for all ages. Lego Build is bringing out the bricks on Saturday, September 17th at 11 a.m.  Kids can ask their parents to help them work on some really hard sets, or they can just come and have fun inventing.  Children are asked to wear their craziest socks for the first book club this school year. The monthly meeting is going to be crazy socks on Tuesday, September 13th at 5 p.m.  Besides reading three books socked full of silliness, the children will make crazy sock creatures and dance their socks off. Book club is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
