I am honored to have been selected as the 7th superintendent at Wawasee. My road to becoming superintendent was blessed by serving as the principal at Milford School for 2 years. My time here has been a great introduction to Wawasee and I am thankful to all of our staff for growing along with me. Prior to my time at Milford, I was a high school assistant principal for 7 years, and taught Project Lead the Way for 7 years before that.

 

As I start leading our school corporation into the future, it is important to understand my core values. I believe that all can grow, integrity matters, we have an obligation to take care of people, we need to focus on success, and communication is key. Through these values, an emphasis on instructional leadership, building and managing great relationships, and strong strategic planning can emerge as priorities for my role as superintendent.

 

During the next six months, we will intentionally focus on gaining feedback from all our stakeholders through listening and learning. I will develop a strong superintendent / school board relationship as we establish our shared vision for Wawasee. We will engage in the Wawasee community and develop a systematic process of communication to ensure timely, honest, and transparent communication as the bedrock for the work we do here. It is through these goals that we will provide clarity and transparency to our stakeholders as I begin my work as Superintendent of Schools at Wawasee Community School Corporation.
