Congresswoman Jackie Walorski invites you to Service Academy Night on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Mishawaka Public Library, 209 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN. You will (1) Learn about US Service Academies, (2) Get details on the application process and (3) Meet academy representatives from US Naval Academy; US Merchant Marine Academy; US Military Academy; US Air Force Academy and US Coast Guard Academy. Attention Junior and Seniors - Applications for Wawasee Dollars for Scholars are now available in the main office. Dollars is a great way to help pay for your college. Applications are due on Friday, September 13th. For more information, please check email you received last week or see Mr Bauer in room B106 or B108.

The Wawasee FFA Chapter will be hosting its annual Chapter Kickoff on Friday, September 13th from 3-6pm. All are welcome to attend for food, fun, and to find out what FFA is all about!

Performing Arts Students:

There are copies of the A Christmas Carol script in the LRC for students to check out and read if they are interested in auditioning for the fall play.

93.7 FM The Mix & CPG-TV is looking for students to work our Football, Boys & Girls home Basketball games. You don’t have to be in the Radio/TV Class to participate. Please stop by the studio’s and talk to Mr. Van Lue or Mr. Huffman.

In Sports:

The Varsity Boys Tennis team lost against West Noble 0-5.

The Varsity Girls Soccer team lost against Bethany Christan 0-10.

The Varsity Girls Golf team lost to Northridge but defeated Warsaw at the Northridge invite with Tate Cowan as the low score of 45. Northridge 175 Wawasee 195 Warsaw 198. The JV team defeated Warsaw 216-264

The Varsity Boys Soccer team lost to West Noble 0-5 and JV lost 1-2 with Aidan Stewart with the goal.

The Varsity Volleyball team Lost against Bethany Christan 25-18. 10-25, 15-25, 23-25. Liz Kleopfer had 2 aces and 11 assists. Leslie Vazquez 2 aces and 16 digs. Emma Dippon had 8 kills. Madi Simmons 8 kills and 12 digs. Kai Jamora had 15 assists.

The JV Volleyball team won against Bethany Christan 25-24, 25-24. Kateyln Nieman had 4 kills. Delaney Hare 4 digs. Talia Khul 4 digs. Laney Gross 2 aces and 3 assists

The Freshmen Football team won against New Haven 33-6.

Sports Schedule:

The Varsity Football team will travel to West Noble tonight. Kick-off is at 7pm.

Events for Saturday Include:

The Freshman Volleyball team will travel to Northwood for the Northwood invite. The invite starts at 8:30 am.

The Varsity Volleyball team will travel to Westview for the Westview invite. The invite starts at 9am.

The Girls JV and Varsity Soccer teams will travel to Concord. The Varsity will start at 10am with JV to follow.

The JV Football team will host West Noble. Kickoff is at 10am.

The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams will travel to Northwood for the Northwood invite. The invite starts at 10am.
