Grades 3-8 will be taking the ILEARN test beginning on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. Grades 3-8 will be testing during the mornings of April 21, 22, 26, 27, 29, 30 and May 4. Grades 4 and 6 will have additional testing on May 5, 6 and 7. Grade 5 will have additional testing on May 5 and 6.
Please make sure your child's device is fully charged on these days.
Here are some ways you can help ease any testing anxiety:
Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and is at school on time so that he or she is alert during testing. It is important to be at school for testing days.
Eating a healthy breakfast before school will energize your child and help him or her perform to the best of his/her ability. We will be serving breakfast at school for all students.
Encourage your child to relax during testing. They do not need to worry, stress, or be anxious. While we do take testing seriously, we also recognize that college scholarships are not being awarded because of it.
Students are required to have wired headphones. Please check with your child to see if they need headphones.
Make sure your child's Chromebook is fully charged and send the charger to school in their backpack each day. Please label chargers with your child's name before bringing to school.
Electronic devices such as smart watches, cell phones, iPads, or tablets are not allowed in the classroom during testing. They must not enter the classroom or testing area. Please keep these at home on testing days or at the very least, keep them in lockers. They will not be permitted in the testing rooms. They will be collected and stored in the office until testing is completed if they are present.
