Immunization Clinic for Wawasee Students
The St. Franciscan Immunization Clinic will be coming to Wawasee High School on August 3 and Wawasee Middle School on August 4 from 12:00pm - 7:00pm. This program is available to all Wawasee families. St. Franciscan files with private insurance, Medicaid, and Hoosier Healthwise. If a student does not have insurance or their insurance does not cover immunizations, there is a $10 charge for each vaccine. No child will be turned away due to inability to pay. Please bring your child’s insurance card with you to the clinic. A parent must accompany their student to the clinic. The exception to this are high school students. They may come to the clinic without a parent as long as they have a completed Vaccine Consent form. Please remember that all who enter school buildings to access the Clinic, will need to wear a mask.
New for the 2020-2021 school year, all students k-12 are required to have a Hepatitis A series (2 dose series) for school attendance. Kindergarten students are to be up to date on all childhood immunizations, Sixth graders are to have a Tdap booster and a Meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine and high school Seniors are required to have a second dose of Meningococcal (MCV4). This is in accordance to Indiana Code 20-34-4-2. If you have any questions please contact your school nurse.
