This Saturday at the home boys basketball game, Wawasee High School’s DECA club will conduct a MDA miracle minute to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Please bring as much as you can to contribute to this cause. Thank you.

Musical Audition Information:

If you are interested in trying out for Beauty and the Beast we will have an audition process that takes place the last four days before Christmas break. Plan to at least stop in on Monday, December 16th after school in the library to get all the information! At the meeting, we will show you what is required of the cast and give out the calendar and go over paperwork. You will also learn the songs to sing for the audition at this meeting. Join us! It's a great first musical to be in!

The Iron Pride had a great tournament on our home turf @ Syracuse Elementary School Saturday. All of our teams competed successfully in the qualification rounds and made it into elimination rounds! 574G (4-2-1, rank 10), 574A (4-3-0, rank 15), and 574H (3-4-0, rank 24) made it into the round of 16. 574F (2-4-1, rank 27) , fifteenth seed, upset the number 2 seed in the round of 16, advancing to the quarterfinals.

574C (7-0-0, rank 1) and 574D (7-0-0, rank 2) both went undefeated for the day, allying together for the elims, roaring into the final round and coming out on top, winning the tournament with a final score of 75 to 17.

93.7 FM The Mix and CPG-TV is looking for students to work with our live boys’ and girls’ basketball games this season. This opportunity will teach you how to use a video camera, video production equipment, and radio equipment during a live broadcast on the radio and our YouTube channel. The best part is you’ll get paid $20.00 per game as well as learn some new skills. You don’t have to be in the Radio/TV class to participate. Stop by the studios next to the Guidance Office and talk to Mr. Van Lue or Mr. Huffman.

There will be a Winter Informational Baseball Meeting for anyone interested in playing Baseball this Spring on Wednesday, December 4th from 3:30-4:30 pm in the PE Classroom (C101). This meeting is for anyone interested that is not currently in a Winter Sport. Any questions, please see Coach Doty.

In Sports:

The JV & Varsity Girls Basketball teams lost to Concord Friday night. The JV score was 19-44. Lindsay Doss had 6 points and 7 rebounds. The Varsity score was 16-67. Becca Smith had 6 points and 12 rebounds.

The Varsity Wrestling team competed in the Warsaw Invite and went 5 and 0 Saturday. Wins on the day included Hunter Miller, Logan Stuckman, Dylan Tom, Jace Alexander, Jacob Wilkinson, Tim Shortt, and Austin Lajoice.

The Girls JV Basketball team defeated Triton Saturday night 25-13. Ava Harker had 14 points and 4 rebounds. The Varsity team lost 35-40. Emily Haines scored 7 and Becca Smith had 6 rebounds.

Sports Schedule:

The Freshman Boys Basketball team will host Columbia City. Tip-off is at 6:30.
