Rock Solid Teen Center is meeting at Wawasee Heights Baptist Church, across from the high school, on Thursdays, immediately after school. Come and join us for games, video games, karaoke, food and fun.

STUDENTS! Congresswoman Jackie Walorski invites you to Service Academy Night on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Mishawaka Public Library, 209 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN. You will (1) Learn about US Service Academies, (2) Get details on the application process and (3) Meet academy representatives from US Naval Academy; US Merchant Marine Academy; US Military Academy; US Air Force Academy and US Coast Guard Academy. Students who plan on driving to school and parking on school property must purchase a NEW parking tag for $10.00. The previous year's tag will be invalid. If you are planning to receive your license within the school year, plan to purchase your tag by October 1st. After this date, parking tags will be $20.00.

If you want to help people and better our school, you should join Student Council! We are involved in setting up and leading in many events including Homecoming, Pow Wow, the Veteran’s Day program, Semi Formal, and more. We also help with other student, staff, and community service activities. If you’re interested in Student Council, you can pick up an application in Mrs. Myers room: C107. The World Ranked Wawasee Robotics Team will be holding a call out meeting for the 2019-2020 season TONIGHT @ Wawasee High School, second floor in room A205 for parents and students grades 7-12. Open house begins at 4:00pm. Informational meeting begins at 5:30pm.

Key Club will be holding a call out meeting TONIGHT at 3:15 pm in Mrs. McKinney's room (A109).

Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character and develop leadership.

If you are caring and love to serve others then Key Club is a great opportunity for you! Come to hear all about our service projects and the fun we have planned this year.

We'll meet once a week after school for an hour to make art and connect with other artists. We have several mural projects planned, as well as building a kiln. We'll go on several field trips to experience great art and culture. We want to fill our school and community with great art!

DECA will have a call-out meeting on Tuesday, August 27th at 7:20 am in Mrs. Long's room B210.

Drama Club Call Out Meeting! If you are interested in joining Drama Club come to Mrs. Bonner's room (A108) after school on Wednesday, August 28th. We will discuss things we do and our NYC trip that is next year! Everyone is welcome...not just actors. If you like the arts you'll love it!

Performing Arts Students:

There are copies of the A Christmas Carol script in the LRC for students to check out and read if they are interested in auditioning for the fall play.

93.7 FM The Mix & CPG-TV is looking for students to work our Football, Boys & Girls home Basketball games. You don’t have to be in the Radio/TV Class to participate. Please stop by the studio’s and talk to Mr. Van Lue or Mr. Huffman.

Are you a student at Wawasee High School? Then we want YOU for the Flag Football Team!! You do not have to be a star athlete! We meet only 3 times a week for most of the season and after school practices are only 1 hour long! Unified Flag Football is a collaboration between the IHSAA and the Special Olympics designed to create a more inclusive community at WHS through a fun and active team experience. If you are interested in joining the team please contact Mr Wilson ( or stop by Mr Shipley's room B107 before or after school. Practices have already started but we are always looking for more teammates!!

In Sports:

Girls Varsity Soccer team lost to West Noble 8-1. Scoring for the Warriors was Nadia Palacios.

Both Boys Varsity and JV Tennis teams defeated Lakeland. Varsity went 5-0 and JV went 2-0.

Winners were Zach Leedy, Holden Babb, Jack Gibbon, doubles teams of Grant Brooks and Blaine Baut, Colin Rhodes and Zeke Keim, and for JV Devon Kuhn and Taylor Fiedeke.

Sports Schedule:

The Girls Golf team will host Marian and Westview. Tee time is 4:30 pm.

The Boys JV & Varsity Soccer teams will host James Whitcomb Riley High School. JV will kickoff at 5:00 pm with the Varsity to follow.

The Boys Tennis team will host Plymouth. The first serve is at 5:30 pm.

The Freshmen Football team will travel to Goshen. Kickoff is at 6:00 pm.
