Congresswoman Jackie Walorski invites you to Service Academy Night on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Mishawaka Public Library, 209 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka, IN. You will (1) Learn about US Service Academies, (2) Get details on the application process and (3) Meet academy representatives from US Naval Academy; US Merchant Marine Academy; US Military Academy; US Air Force Academy and US Coast Guard Academy. Join the WHS Book Club

We meet twice a month, during Warrior Time, to discuss a variety of popular titles.

If you are interested in participating in the WHS Book Club, please stop by the LRC or email Miss Fowble (gfowble@wawasee.k12.in.us) or Mrs. Rose (srose@wawasee.k12.in.us). Contact us with your interest by Thursday. Our first meeting will be Friday, August 30th!!!


Soil Judging Practice will be held TODAY from 3-4:30 in the Ag Building. Contact Mrs. Roberts if you have any questions!


The Wawasee FFA Chapter will be hosting its annual Chapter Kickoff on Friday, September 13th from 3-6pm. All are welcome to attend for food, fun, and to find out what FFA is all about!

Spanish French and German students our fundraiser kick off is TODAY during warrior time. After the pledge when you are released please come to the cafeteria. We will again be selling cookie dough With great price opportunities. If you cannot come during war your time talk to your Foreign language teacher for details.


If you are wanting to join Student Council for the 2019-2020 school year, the application forms are due TODAY in C107. Don't miss your opportunity to lead and make a difference at Wawasee!

We'll meet once a week after school for an hour to make art and connect with other artists. We have several mural projects planned, as well as building a kiln. We'll go on several field trips to experience great art and culture. We want to fill our school and community with great art!


Any student interested in joining the drama club in a trip to NYC over fall break 2020 is invited to an informational meeting this THURSDAY in the auditorium at 5:30. Bring a parent if possible. See Mrs. Bonner for details.

There are copies of the A Christmas Carol script in the LRC for students to check out and read if they are interested in auditioning for the fall play.

93.7 FM The Mix & CPG-TV is looking for students to work our Football, Boys & Girls home Basketball games. You don’t have to be in the Radio/TV Class to participate. Please stop by the studio’s and talk to Mr. Van Lue or Mr. Huffman.

Are you a student at Wawasee High School? Then we want YOU for the Flag Football Team!! You do not have to be a star athlete! We meet only 3 times a week for most of the season and after school practices are only 1 hour long! Unified Flag Football is a collaboration between the IHSAA and the Special Olympics designed to create a more inclusive community at WHS through a fun and active team experience. If you are interested in joining the team please contact Mr. Wilson (awilson@wawasee.k12.in.us) or stop by Mr Shipley's room B107 before or after school. Practices have already started but we are always looking for more teammates!!


Any student interested in participating in Baseball this spring, there will be an informational meeting regarding Fall Workouts TOMORROW at 3:30 pm in the Lecture Room. Only students currently not in a Fall Sport should attend.


In Sports:

The Varsity and JV Girls Golf team defeated Goshen. Varsity 182-216 and JV 245-258.For the Varsity, Belle Brunner had the low score of 41. For Jv, Rhian Galloway had the low score of 54 for JV.


The Varsity Volleyball team defeated Lakeland 25-23. 25-23, 25-18. Emma Dippon had a block and 2 assists. Ava Rush a block. Liz Kleopher 7 kills and 11 assists. Leslie Vazquez 5 kills and 10 digs. Madi Simmons 7 aces and 13 digs. Kai Jamora 12 assists.

The JV Volleyball team lost against Lakeland 22-25. 25-16, 11-15. Delaney Hare had 7 aces and 12 digs. Amanda Allen 25 assists.


Sports Schedule:

The Varsity, JV, and Freshman Volleyball teams will travel to Central Noble. The Freshman and JV will start at 6 with Varsity to follow.


The Boys Varsity Tennis team will travel to Central Noble. First serve is at 5pm.


The Boys Varsity Soccer team will travel to Bremen. Kickoff is at 5:30pm.


The Girls Varsity Soccer team will host Manchester. Kickoff is at 6pm.
