Wawasee FFA had the opportunity to represent Indiana in the National FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation and Management Career Development Event at National Convention. This contest consists of a management test, a team event where they must review a dairy farm scenario and present solutions to the problems identified, and judge 6 classes and give 3 sets of oral reasons. The contest happens over 2 days. The team of Evan Coblentz, Logan Hollar, Emily Sabin and Jackson Templin finished 15th overall out of 43 teams. FFA does things differently..they dont give individual rankings beyond 1st in each of the categories. We do know that Evan was 12th high individual overall. Evan and Jackson were gold emblem individuals, Logan silver and Emily was bronze. There were 173 individuals in the contest.
