Wednesday, September 23rd

Hello, juniors! I hear some of you are in the driver’s seat now. Have you thought about taking a virtual or in-person college visit this year? With nearly 5,000 colleges and Universities in the United States, you’ve got a lot of exploring to do! Come talk to your school counselor about getting passes for college visits, plan a trip on the weekend with your family or friends, or check out virtual tours from the comfort of your couch. Visit www.LearnMoreIndiana.org/college for information on college visits.

Attention Juniors & Seniors: Grace College will be here on Tuesday, September 29th during your lunch period for you to stop by and visit with them. They will be located outside the south cafeteria windows. After you have lunch feel free to go visit them and see if they might be a good fit for your after high school career.

This is a reminder for Wawasee Dollars for Scholars students:

Your ticket money is due on Friday, 9/25. Please give it to Mrs. Baird in the main office. Remember, any unsold tickets MUST also be returned to Mrs. Baird.

There are still a few spirit shirts available. Please let Mr. Murphy know if you would like one.

Wearing a clean mask can help reduce "mascne" or irritation to the face from bacteria passed from a dirty mask to the skin.

I will be offering a mask washing service to students every Friday starting September 25th. How does this work?

  • Every Friday before 11a.m. you can drop off your mask in the laundry basket located in attendance. *Bring an extra mask with you to wear during the day*

  • There will be a stack of Fabric Labels and a pen for you to attach a label to your mask and write your FULL name on it or First Initial and Last Name if you are cramped for space. Please make sure it is legible! This will keep it from getting lost.

  • Your mask will be washed with hot water and dried on high heat to kill any bacteria.

  • You can pick up your mask at the end of the day in the same location before leaving school. Check the label to make sure you picked up your mask.

  • If this is well received I may add more days to this service.

For those of you washing masks at home:

  • Wash in hot water

  • Ideally you should do this daily to have a clean mask every day
